The Incense Cépages

Frankincense, derived from the sacred resin of Boswellia, takes root in the arid lands of Oman, Somalia, and Ethiopia, where it embodies spirituality and nobility. Nurtured by extreme climates and mineral-rich soils, it develops slowly, shaped by patience and time. Cultivated in rugged landscapes, the tree is carefully incised according to ancestral know-how passed down from generation to generation. From these cuts emerges a milky resin that, upon contact with air, crystallizes into precious tears. Harvested by hand after maturation, frankincense reveals a pure, luminous material with resinous, balsamic, and slightly citrus facets. Each grain carries the memory of earth and sun, symbolizing rare craftsmanship and a millennia-old heritage at the heart of haute perfumery and the most precious rituals.
